Okay, I love women. We all do! I support them, I’m attracted to them, and I consider myself a feminist and an equal partner to my beloved.
But there is this specific trend that has arisen. Where every zodiac and “personality test” keeps telling females that it’s awesome to be some badass who loves and is loyal unconditionally…until they are crossed, which is when they will punch your lights out and forget you exist. Don’t mess with them! They are lovers, but killers! And proud of it!
Is this a plus? Why are girls so proud of this as an apparent attribute? It could be said for men, too, but there aren’t so many guys bragging that they’ll “stand by you forever, but if you make a wrong move, they’ll smack you with a shovel and bury you in Lake Erie.”
Jesus, we have no tolerance anymore. As if we are all perfect all the time. The second we feel disrespected, we disown you and possibly pour gasoline on you instead of water when you’re on fire. Damn. And it’s a point of pride?
When did violence and cruelty become such a vindictive boasting point for women (or men)? I love that women are very kind and forgiving. They’re mothers, daughters, sisters and wives. And ironically, the purported trope is A lie. You hopefully aren’t knocking fools out the second you are wronged. Maybe you’re more lonely passive aggressively hating them and talking shit behind their backs.
Everyone doesn’t need to be as tough as they pretend online these days. People like you more when you’re nice to them with understanding during their times of being upset.
Just be a decent person, and stop acting like everything that wrongs you turns you into Van Damm. We’re supposed to be more mature than this, and I’m sick of these “quiz” apps reinforcing such insanity.
You’re all not out to exact revenge in the newest John Wick movie. Forgiveness and kindness still exist. Don’t try to be empowered by being told “you aren’t a person to be crossed, or you’ll disown them and maybe dismember them.” That isn’t badass. It’s adolescent.
Unless you do me wrong. I have no maturity. I am the exception.
