A gentleman should not fear timeless fashion, values, or etiquette. None of these are ever out of style.
With fall here and winter well on its way, out have come jackets, coats, and scarves. One timeless jacket that goes just as well with jeans, dress slacks, and a kilt is tweed. While some may think a tweed suit is something one’s grandfather should wear, there is really no reason to avoid this rich material.
A tweed jacket is perfect for the colder weather as it looks as timeless as winter itself and it’s muted colors are perfectly seasonal.
Tweed does not need to just be for jackets. Tweed pants can be dressy casual with a sweater or business professional with a shirt, tie, and matching jacket. Tweed also makes for great hat that work for any occasion, and ties. And for a dressy casual look, tweed sneakers are a step up from common tennis shoes.
However, one should not wear all tweed – two tweed items, such as pants and jacket or hat and tie, should be the limit. One may get away with a tweed tweed sneakers along with a tweed tie and hat. However, like denum, too much tweed is not a good thing.
Final thoughts:
A gentleman should both dress and behave with class.
